Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality Oxford Hub - Launch event

Academics and members of staff of the University are invited to participate in the VR & AR launch event. This will provide an opportunity for networking, to try out VR demos, and to discuss how the VR & AR hub can support interdisciplinary research projects.

Single Node Performance Optimisation 2 day course

On 6-7 November, ARCHER, the national academic supercomputing service, will be holding a course on Single Node Performance Optimisation in Oxford. This is aimed at C, C++ and Fortran programmers, and will help them get the best performance out of their code. The course will cover machine architecture, profiling tools, use of the compiler, and code restructuring techniques.
